ML/TF Risk Assessments

Kenya has successfully conducted risk assessments for Terrorism Financing (TF) ,Virtual Assets(VAs) and Virtual Assets Service Provides (VASPs), and legal persons & legal arrangements that have been used to update Kenya’s NRA and competent authorities’ understanding of ML/TF risks. The risk assessments utilized a broad range of qualitative and quantitative data and information from different sources including law enforcement agencies, competent authorities, private sector, the public and open sources. The assessments have significantly improved the understanding of ML/TF risks for the country.
